I cannot WAIT to begin rehearsal on this. I am just ridiculously excited. In case you missed the announcement, here again is our beautiful, very diverse cast.
So, brand new play, diversity, women, feminism.
AND...it was just announced as a 2016 O'Neill Finalist!
And we are doing the World Premiere!
Thank you Shakespeare for meaning so much to so many. And thank you for meaning so much to me.
Dancing Lessons closed on Sunday after a whole weekend of full houses. I am back in Chicago, and back at it, but I will very much miss the play and Iowa City (for now). Until we meet again, Iowa, you were gorgeous. And such a big thank you to Riverside Theatre!
Best out-of-context pull quote ever: "Chrisler seamlessly transitions between sorrow, joy, drunkenness, and love."
"Heather Chrisler’s Senga doesn’t ask, or beg, but dares you to like her. Her prickly exterior is persistently maintained, and in the rare moments when she drops it, it feels true."
"Chrisler handles Senga’s slow path to intimacy with grace and patience."

"Chrisler is delightful as the damaged dancer, Senga."
